As we enter into the new year I am sure there are a number of you who have resolutions that involve some aspect of health and fitness. Am I right? If so, GREAT! I am right there with you!
I don’t like to say, “New Year, New You” because you are and always will be your wonderful, unique self! Instead, I like to say, “New Year, Better Decisions” because that is typically what health and fitness boils down to…decision making. There are two types of decision making I am referring to.
1.) GOOD TO NOT SO GOOD DECISION MAKING.
2.) GOOD TO GOOD OR GOOD TO GREAT DECISION MAKING.
The first, and most common decision making is between a good, and a not so good choice. For example, should I get up and take rhythm ride at 5:15AM or should I hit the ignore on my alarm
and sleep that extra hour or watch a show or occupy my time with anything but working out? Another example would be if you were deciding between eggs or a donut for breakfast. These are decisions that are either really good, or not so good. We tend to know the “good” choice but choose the opposite for reasons which vary from person to person.
The second decision making option, good to good or good to great decision making is what I want to help you all achieve this year! For example, instead of deciding between the above options you train yourself to choose between two GOOD or GREAT options. Turn your thinking from do I workout or don’t I workout to WHICH workout will I choose. Group Power? Rhythm Ride? When it’s breakfast time instead of choosing between a donut or eggs, make your decision be between eggs or fruit or BOTH!
Decision making always begins with knowledge…if you know what the right decision is and WHY then you can be sure to go through 2019 successfully. Notice how I didn’t say easily Full
disclosure: Making better decision is not easy at all! It will take time, commitment and self control, but I KNOW you can do it!
Are you (yes, YOU!) with me? EXCELLENT!
